Music!!

How I thank the Lord so much for music! How kind of God to give us such a beautiful thing. This morning as I was worshiping with the kids I was more aware of how blessed we are to have the freedom to worship God in this country!! I have always had a love for music. For me singing is what I love. It may not be on the worship team anymore-(maybe someday again), but now I am singing with my kids or to them, and loving it! How kind of God to also pass this gift for music on to our kids. They have such heart for music, yet they are using different instruments. Gavin is learning the guitar. He loves it!!! It has not been very difficult for him to catch on. He is catching on so quickly to the rhythm of the songs and chord's. His teacher is also on the worship team at her church, so it is neat to have him be encouraged towards worship by her too. He is learning songs like, "Blessed Be Your Name" and More Precious Than Silver". I told Gavin, he would be able to lead the family in worship before too long and Kayla with her violin, and yes, Carson, someday with the drums. Carson wants to play the drums so badly. We are holding out as long as we can for those drums. In a year or so, we are thinking of having someone in the church give him lessons. In the meantime, it's the piano for Carson! What fun it truly is to have music in the house!!! I just love it!!
