A Day In Mayberry...

Eating at the Snappy Diner...

Busy eating LOTS of candy!!

Floyd's Barber shop! If you ever go there make sure to check to see if our
family picture is on the "wall of fame". The Barber, who looks like floyd, took our picture and said he would hang it up on the wall with all the MANY sightseers before us!!

My baby's in jail!!

A new Barney Fife???

Miss Sheriff Ava...

Lounging on the Taylor's porch with gun in hand...

(A totally immature but who cares, lets be crazy girls moment...)

Miss Sheriff Izzy...

On our way to the fishing pond with Andy Griffith and Opie...

Even Nana went too!!

The kids, my Mom and I all had a great time visiting Mt. Airy, NC, the place where Andy Griffith grew up, last Saturday.
The last time I was there with the kids was when Carson was a baby, I remember he had a baby blow-out all over the car!! Poor baby!! Mimi was with us and we were laughing soo hard.
OK...anyway...this time there were no stinky and messy poops in the car-
all was well and we had a great time!!

Ava Funny's...

Yesterday, I was in the kitchen about to make dinner when Ava came up to me and was in tears
(as if she was extremely hurt...)
"MOMMMY (said while sobbing), Carson took my nose!"
As I look at her and asked her to please clarify...
"What Honey?"
"Carson took my nose!!"
(said once again in such a distraught tone of voice)

"hmmm..."
(mommy's famous words)

Poor thing she literally thought her nose was gone!!

So off I go to talk to Carson and to ask if he would please put her nose back.
(with a big smile on my face of course!)

Pictures of Our Day today...

Yes well, today was a very busy day. I am grateful for days when you feel like things are actually being accomplished and there is order to the day. As I am homeschooling this year this is one of my many goals, to have order to my week and days. By Gods grace He is enabling this to slowly happen.
Here are a few pictures though that I thought was a bit funny while we were waiting for Kayla to take her violin lesson...as you are viewing them you may think,

"Doesn't look like to me they had a very organized day!!"

(Here we are at Target-buying a food items)

Here am I assessing the situation at hand...
hmmm... (my favorite word)

Gav-quite cheerful

Ava giving a goofy smile because she knows
she is having her picture taken...

Poor Isabel..."Get me out!!!"

"Carson, leave me alone!"

"OH PLEAAASE Leave me ALONE!!!"

OK...GUESS WHAT...

Well, I tore some ligaments in my foot tonight!! As I was walking out of my Moms house my foot rolled sideways, (off the sidewalk), and, "ouch!", I heard a small snap, fell onto all fours, skinned my knee, ripped a hole in my new jeans, and didn't cry-thankfully! This was one of my clumsy moments. Yup!!
Now I am on crutches and I have one of those funky looking shoes-this one isn't too bad looking though. I have to keep it on for 3-6 weeks...and stay off my foot for 3 days. The doctor also said I cannot exercise on this foot for 6 months??? I need to recheck that note, I am in need of some good exercise these days!! So we shall see...

Boy we have had a lot going on the past few weeks! The kids are doing soooo much better sick wise! Thank you to all of you who had prayed so faithfully for us!
