Are YOU still there??

My poor blog fans...My poor,poor fans...
how i am sorry i have not posted-i am guilty of neglecting my poor blog...if you are still a fan and still reading-thank you. How life seems to be taking me on a roll, not enough time to post (or so it seems). So many things going on not knowing what to post. I do have a few things, that i would like to post about. First being my cousin Bill who has been in a coma for the past week. Second is my trip to Charleston, SC. What a wonderful time I had with my Mom!! How I would love to go again! I will I am sure. Stefan wants to go with me next time!! Fun, fun!! I believe next year we are going to Georgia, Paula Dean's restaurant, what's the city-it has totally slipped my mind :). Can anyone remind me? Anyway...on with the posting.

One Busy Family

We have been extremely busy this week with ongoing activities as a family.
Life seems to be getting very very full!!

Finally an Update!!

A couple of Updates...This will take a couple of posts...lets see...

For starters, Highlights for today-

Yumm...don't these donuts look good?? OK...

• Isabel had her first sprinkled donut. She shared it with Ava, or should I say that Ava shared it with her. Ava ate the icing and most of the sprinkles, while Isabel finished it off-donut and all!! I didn't get to the grocery store in time for breakfast (yes, I ran out of food in the house), so we had to make an emergency run to the store, donuts and muffins for lunch, and other healthy items...Don't worry this is not the norm.
  

• Ava is taking a nap!! This is quite exciting!! This is not a usual event-she is not a restful girl when it comes to nap time. We are working on this but perhaps God has revealed a little helpful tool that I did not know about until today. As a matter of fact Gavin gave Ava some well needed attention this afternoon. He helped her roller skate on the driveway, read some of her favorite books, laughed with her a lot, and just simply gave her some One on One time. It was really good for her!! Maybe that helped her fall a sleep more peacefully-little sweet girl...
• My house is getting cleaner this week...I have truly been working hard on this.

• I read Everyday Graces to Gavin, Kayla, and Carson today. We love this book!! I would always read it to them when they were little and they are so glad to have Mommy read it to them again! All I heard today was "Read More, Read More!!" I highly recommend this book! This book is based on teaching kids about having good moral character, virtues, using good manners, how to treat relationships, while using scriptures, stories, and wise sayings of the past. Very Cool!
  
• Tonight...Stefan is taking the kids to the Dollar Store to buy a few Mother's Day gifts of their own. They so enjoy going to the Dollar Store to pick out little gifts for special occasions. This is a real treat for them-the Dollar Store over here by Concord Mills has decent things.
  
• #1-the kids really enjoy picking out pretty much anything they want to. #2-they can spend their own money if they want. #3-they find such joy in picking things out for others all by themselves. We love the Dollar Store-it's great for school items too!!

Yes, it's been a delightful day!!
