Scheduling? Erika's On A Schedule?

Yes, I am trying to schedule for the sake of my family and to pursue having a home that looks a little "more like heaven"!
This week I have been trying to persevere in keeping a schedule. I am definitely not one that is gifted in scheduling or organizing. Thankfully I have older women around me to spur me on to grow in these areas. See, I would much rather spend hours teaching and talking to my kids about the Lord than scheduling my day with other duties. I know duties too are apart of training in righteousness, for all of us.
For some reason though, when child #5 hit, it became so much more apparent and a little more needy, to see that scheduling is definitely a good thing, whether you have 1 or more kids. That is scheduling within reason of course. So, I have been pursuing some great tips on how to schedule and trying to be consistent with it. I am also managing to keep it simple-simplicity being the key amidst a very full life. Thankfully the Lord is helping me to grow in seeing both the eternal and practical perspectives of scheduling. I'm also learning to rest in Him, and to remain peaceful and joyful when it doesn't seem to be going as planned.
Being orderly will undoubtedly be an ongoing process for me, but that's OK!!! One day in heaven, orderliness will be perfected in me!

Here is Ava learning how to make her bed!!
(this is a step forward for me-I am trying to be more
purposeful in teaching these kinds of chores at
a young age.)

Here is Ava's morning chart...there is an evening chart as well.

See the older kids chart!!
Nothin' fancy at all...but it's working!!
