Though the past couple of e-mails have been more difficult to hear. Her cancer has seriously spread to her liver and has left her in much pain. Her pain has worsened and it hurts her to even talk. Medication is not providing relief at this point.
She has fought this battle of cancer tooth and nail, yet the Lord has chosen not heal her of this. When she was going through many treatments she was always so joyful. People would not have noticed that she was even ill because of the joy she exemplified so fervently. Stories I have heard about her joy has inspired me greatly!!!!
Now I am thinking she may be on the verge of going to be with our Lord soon. I know prayers are still being made for her complete healing and I know our God is a God of Miracles!! Yet, I am still not sure what God has in store for her.
If you think of her please pray for her spirit as she is extremely aware of her condition and that her body is failing. I think this may be hard for her. Please if you can, pray for strength in spirit, comfort, the Lord's peace, and no fear. She is a Christian and I know that if the Lord calls her home she will be rejoicing more than she ever has before!!
This has stirred my spirit so much today...through this, it has reminded me of my favorite song...
"It Is Well"....
(I do have it on the song list below!)
Thanks everyone, I know through prayer she would be blessed and the Lord will comfort her!!
The Words...
1. When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
when sorrows like sea billows roll;
whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say,
It is well, it is well with my soul.
Refrain:
It is well with my soul,
it is well, it is well with my soul.
2. Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
let this blest assurance control,
that Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
and hath shed his own blood for my soul.
(Refrain)
3. My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!
(Refrain)
4. And, Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
the clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
the trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
even so, it is well with my soul.
(Refrain)

Erika,
I hope you don't mind, I forwarded your blog to Marva. I don't know if she'll read it, but hopefully, someone can read it to her. The song is perfect. Mildred told me she visited Marva yesterday and they had a very sweet time. Marva is ready to go Home.
Love,
Mimi
