This is the first year we have decided to put up our tree so early. It's funny but I had always wondered why people would want to put up Christmas decor so soon after Thanksgiving.
Well, this year I became one of those people. I really don't mind decorating so soon-it's fun!
The kids have been having a blast decorating too!! I have such fond memories of starting out the Christmas season with my Mom, decorating the tree while listening to Christmas music or watching the Nutcracker ballet on video. So the kids, (Kayla and Ava), and I put on the old Nutcracker ballet tape and decorated the tree-thankfully the boys really didn't like watching it-only to make fun of it. No Wait!! You know actually, there are parts of the video they do like...like the dancing clowns. The rest of the video-Nada.
Remember I was an only child, so this may turn out to be the girly traditional part of Christmas.
But needless to say, our tree is almost completely decorated and the house is still in progress of being tidied up for the Holidays!!
