Paula Deen's Old-Fashioned Fudge Pie
I thought I'd share this recipe. This is a fast and really extremely simple recipe of Paula Deens.
Due to having a baby, baking is not something I can whole-heartedly participate in often, but this recipe makes it easy and Kayla can do it too (from memory)!
I made this the other night when I was in a hurry and it came out fine, except I did burn it-it still tasted good! The only thing with this recipe is that it is very sweet. So I omitted the 1 cup of sugar and put in 3/4 a cup instead. Tasted a lot better! You know Paula Deen-she is never afraid to use a lot of butter and sugar!
Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
Old Fashioned Fudge Pie
2 squares (2-ounces) semisweet chocolate
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Melt the chocolate and butter together in a heavy saucepan over low heat. Remove the pan from the heat and add the sugar, then the eggs; beat well. Pour the filling into the pie crust and bake for 25 minutes or until just set. Serve warm or cold, with ice cream or whipped cream.
