Ava's New Haircut!

Yesterday evening my Mom was over for dinner. As we were sitting digesting our food, Ava was putting on a dancing show for us. Literally, minutes after it was over, Ava comes walking back in with a tremendously big smile on her face saying, "Pretty Mommy, Pretty Nana." At first glance nothing seemed horribly wrong until we both seemed to take a second look, "doesn't her hair look funny? (Pause) Oh my Gosh, it's been cut!" Her hair was shorter!!!!!
We asked, "Ava, did you cut your hair?" (said with curiosity). Poor thing up to this point, she thought her haircut looked pretty. (Ava) "Pretty?". In her own little words, we did get the story from her of what had happened. Someone thought her bangs were too long and she needed them cut.

As a matter of fact Ava was not the culprit. I cannot share who the culprit was but...I sure didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Mom was helping correct in this situation, thankfully. She was a good reminder that hair does grow back.
We will just be pulling it back in barrettes for the next few months and letting it grow out, once again. We will definitely look back on this and think it's funny-actually it's pretty funny now!! Thankfully, most of her hair is still there.
