Finally all is quiet around here!!! I can blog!!!
I am so grateful that tonight we had some wonderful family laughs, kids were being nutty while Mommy was comforting Isabel who has a stomach virus, along with Carson, and now possibly Ava.
Keeping them in and at home as much as possible is my theory while sick-
I love to be home and care for them.
Last week, Carson had participated in his very first spelling bee!! He wanted to do this bad that it brought him to tears. So Nana, (his extremely devoted teacher), told him he could!! So my Mom began to work with him on his words, religiously!
Only Nana could work with him on these words-no one else could do it like Nana-trust me other members in the family tried to help. It just wasn't the same.
So Nana worked and worked with him for 2 wks. straight!
Carson did sooo well!!!!! There was a moment within those 2 weeks where Carson began to have second thoughts about doing it. Yet, Nana, encouraged him to keep on and keep going!
Well, he made it to the Spelling Bee. He persevered!!! Though he did not get every word correct-most importantly my Mom taught him how to keep persevering, though he had only 2wks. of practice!!
What a boy and what a valuable lesson that he learned! Perseverence no matter what, even when it is discouraging and difficult at times.
He had such a cheerful heart and such a desirous heart to do what was right!!!
Go Carson-what a brave boy and what an example you are to all of us!!!
We love you!!!!
